We can’t say enough about our medical heroes, those who are battling the pandemic on the front lines and those who are working behind the scenes, around the clock to find a vaccine. Drug manufacturer, Eli Lilly knows the significance of finding a treatment for a disease with no cure. It was in the 1920’s Lilly introduced Iletin, the world’s first commercially available insulin product for the treatment of diabetes. Then it was a fatal disease with no effective treatment options. Fast forward to the 1940’s and Lilly was among the first companies to develop a method to mass produce Penicillin. In the 1950’s Lilly was the first company to manufacture and distribute the Salk Polio Vaccine. Today Eli Lilly continues to be a leader in the pharmaceutical industry. Eli Lilly’s corporate headquarters is in Indianapolis, Indiana and that’s where Mark Reese needed a motor.
