We all know the importance of the family farm. They boost our local economy and provide more than 80% of the food we eat. For the Houff family, it all started in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. In the 1970s, liquid fertilizer was a new concept, and the Houff family saw an opportunity to provide this service to help other farmers. Over the years, the company has expanded its agricultural services, which now include dry fertilizer, crop protection, seed sales, and ammonia control. When Jarrett Roche of the Houff Corporation in Weyers Cave, Virginia, reached out to Piedmont Delivery Service needing a motor, we kept our promise of same-day delivery. Our driver pulled up to the Houff plant at 10:35 p.m. sharp, another example of what we call The Piedmont Difference!
