Spring Gardening
It’s no secret, self isolating in the yard is the perfect distraction as we all try to cope with the shelter in place restrictions. And you may not realize it, but spring gardening can help cultivate your mental health. Weeding can have a Zen quality, which has something to do with clearing the soil while emptying the mind. The folks at Scotts Miracle-Gro in Jackson, Georgia recently needed a helping hand. Their products include a popular weed killer in the form of Roundup. With the recent surge in spring gardening products there’s no time for a faulty motor. Piedmont Delivery Service picked up a motor for them at one of their other plants in Chester, South Carolina and drove it straight to Jackson. Mike Jones with Scotts Miracle-Gro was happy to see us. In this time of uncertainty, we encourage all of you to check on your neighbors, offer a helping hand, and try spending some time outside. A little sunshine and maybe even a little weeding might help cure the isolation blues.
