The Laughing Cow

Just south of Louisville, Kentucky you will find a cheese lovers paradise. Bel Brands, USA makes those little wedges of swiss cheese, called The Laughing Cow, and the circular waxed Mini Babybel. The Laughing Cow cheese dates back to 1865, when Jules Bel began cheese ripening in France’s Jura region. Fast forward to 1970 and The Bel Group purchased its first cheese plant in Leitchfield, Kentucky and never looked back. Now with more than 360 employees, the plant makes 400 million of The Laughing Cow wedges each year. It was here in Kentucky where Brian Sanders desperately needed an electrical part to keep the cheese in production. A quick call to Piedmont Delivery Service and the electrical part was on its way. The timing was critical to get the part after closing to install in time for the next day’s shift. And there you have it…. We call it The Piedmont Difference!
