Big Water

It’s that time of year; spring breakers are seeking adventure, and water destinations are popular with most everyone. This year, many are headed to Foley, Alabama, to the OWA Parks and Resorts, which is a few miles away from the Gulf Coast. So what is OWA? Glad you asked. The name, pronounced oh-wah,  is inspired by the Muscogee Creek language, meaning “big water.” OWA is a joint venture with the city of Foley and its Sports Tourism Complex. The city approached the Poarch Band of Creek Indians about a partnership to bring an entertainment destination to the area. At the heart of the 520-acre destination is Tropic Falls, featuring 23 theme-park rides along with a wave pool and much more. It’s here Robert Hooper needed some parts in time for the anticipation of a busy week of spring breakers. Piedmont Delivery Service arrived with parts in hand at 4:50 p.m. central time. Keeping everyone happy for a fun and adventurous spring break. It’s the Piedmont Difference!
