For years the soft drink, Pepsi-Cola has been bottled in Munster, Indiana. With roots in the Carolinas, it’s by far one of the most popular soft drinks in the Southeast. Do you know the story? Caleb Brandham, an entrepreneur in New Bern, North Carolina created Pepsi-Cola and started offering it to his pharmacy customers. That was in 1898, and the rest they say is history. In 1965, Pepsi teamed up with Frito-Lay and became one of the world’s leading food and beverage companies named PepsiCo. With the July 4th holiday weekend on the horizon, Adam Halstrom with PepsiCo needed a part in Munster, Indiana, desperately.
