Kentucky Bourbon

The Glenmore Distillery in Owensboro, Kentucky is now a bottling plant with a rich history of Kentucky Bourbon. Founded in 1849, it’s changed hands several times, most recently purchased by the Sazerac company of New Orleans. Fun facts include how Glenmore survived Prohibition as a concentration warehouse, bottling and distributing medicinal whiskey. In 1955, Glenmore barreled its 2 millionth barrel of bourbon. And then, a few years later, Glenmore vodka and gin were introduced. The distillery was also the first to break the self-imposed ban on using women to sell distilled spirits. So, with the distillery still in full operation, V. Samasy reached out to Piedmont Delivery Service needing a gear box, to keep the juice flowing. The call came in on Wednesday and we pulled up with the gear box in hand at 11:52pm. Keeping the Kentucky Bourbon tradition alive is our pleasure and we call it The Piedmont Difference!
