Crushing It in South Carolina

As we remember our war heroes this week, on the 79th Anniversary of D-Day, you may not know of a WWII connection in South Carolina. In the 1940’s, Dewey Brewer founded Hemingway Scrap Iron and Metal. Today it’s known as DCC Metal Recycling and has a long history of serving the state of South Carolina. DCC stands for Don’s Car Crushing and it was in Holly Hill that LaVance Hughes recently needed a large motor. Piedmont Delivery Service quickly responded with same-day delivery, arriving in Orangeburg County, South Carolina at 11:45am. Keeping our friends in the Lowcountry in business, always happy to help.
