What does a tube of toothpaste, a cell phone, airbags and furniture polish all have in common? They are products that have been produced with materials from the Wacker Chemical Corporation. In 2016 the company set up shop in Charleston, Tennessee with a 2.5 billion dollar state of the art polysilicon production plant. With more than 600 employees, a faulty motor is not the most productive for a large multi-billion dollar manufacturing facility. Piedmont Delivery Service to the rescue! Lilly Campbell needed a motor quickly on a Monday night and with motor in tow, our driver was on his way to Charleston, just north of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Now it’s full speed ahead for the polysilicon plant, and we are glad we could be of service.
