Back on the Farm

As farmers will tell you, there really isn’t a day off in the family business. Just ask the Wallace family. Seven generations of family members have been farming the land in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina since the 1860’s. In 1945, they added a dairy operation, then a poultry operation. In the 1960’s they added a wide range of compost, soil and mulch products. Wallace Farms is committed to “growing a greener environment”. In doing so, Wallace Farms were in desperate need of a gear motor. Piedmont Delivery Service understands working weekends is a part of the business, just like farming. So Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm we picked up the gear motor and as the doors opened Monday morning at 8:00am we were there, just as we said we would be. We call that The Piedmont Difference!
