Besides peanuts and pretzels, you may have been given a cookie as a treat on a recent flight on your favorite airline. That’s how the cookie “Lotus Biscoff” made it to the U.S., winning the hearts of American consumers in the process. The first Lotus biscuit was to be served with coffee and was named after the flower that symbolizes purity. With all natural ingredients, it was an instant hit. A couple of years ago, Lotus Bakeries invested more than 84 million dollars to expand its footprint in North Carolina. That’s where the famous Biscoff cookie is now made in addition to its headquarters in Belgium. So when Maurice Burnett needed some small parts, Piedmont Delivery Service was quickly en route to Mebane, North Carolina, to keep the operation running smoothly. With 12 global production plants, we wanted to make sure the “Biscoff cookie” was baked to perfection, as the company says it is “love at first bite.”  All in a day’s work at Piedmont Delivery Service.

All My Best,
