Donut Panic

Did you know October is National Donut Month? I didn’t either. One of our recent customers, Dawn Foods, has been whipping up donut mix, gourmet chocolate and ready to serve cakes and frozen muffins for years. The family business has grown over the past 100 years, yet still sees family at the heart of how they think and treat their customers. As more of us are staying at home these days, families are again eating at home and baking has become a popular pastime. With supply and demand for more baking mixes, glazes, fillings and frozen food products, distribution warehouses across the country are humming with steady production. In Louisville, Kentucky Brandon Scott called Piedmont Delivery Service needing a large motor on a Saturday night to keep the Dawn Foods plant in operation. Quick to respond, Piedmont Delivery Service delivered the motor at 3:00am Sunday morning.
