Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

You may not be familiar with Bimbo Bakeries USA, but I’m guessing you’ve probably sampled a few of their brands. The bakery is home to some of America’s favorite breads and sweet baked goods. Think Sara Lee, Thomas English Muffins, Entenmann’s cookies and Ballpark hot dog and hamburger buns, just to name a few. The bakery dates back to the late 1800’s and has continued to grow, now operating 60 bakeries, and employing more than 20,000 workers. In fact, it’s the only commercial bakery manufacturer to serve all 50 states. One of those facilities is in Roanoke, Virginia where the company just spent more than 22 million dollars to add artisanal bread to its production line.
