A Cup of Joe

If coffee is your drink of choice, then you are familiar with a “cup of joe.” It’s believed the widely used nickname comes from the Secretary of the Navy Josephus “Joe” Daniels, who banned alcohol from all U.S. Navy ships in 1914, leaving the sailors drinking coffee, or a “cup of joe.” In New Orleans, Louisiana, the J.M. Smucker Company is roasting more coffee than anywhere else in the world. It also houses the largest bulk coffee facility in the world. So, with more than 700 people busy producing the likes of Folgers, Dunkin', and Café Bustelo, needing small parts for the morning shift was a coffee emergency. Ebonie Lewis reached out to Piedmont Delivery Service, and our driver was en route to New Orleans with the small but important parts. We arrived at the coffee percolator at 3:45 a.m. central time. Keeping your business running smoothly 24/7—we call it The Piedmont Difference!
