Remembering Hugo

Hard to believe it was 30 years ago Hurricane Hugo slammed into the South Carolina coast. It’s 135 miles per hour winds came ashore just north of Charleston and to date is one of the costliest storms in our nation’s history totalling roughly 9.5 billion dollars. With the recent threat of Hurricane Dorian, those who are alive today to tell the stories are reminded Mother Nature has her own compass and it’s best to stay out of her path. As the coast was evacuating recently for the potential impact of Hurricane Dorian and I-26 lane reversals were enforced, Piedmont Delivery Service was dispatched to help out our Restaurant friends in the Lowcountry. Lewis Barbecue, Ink N Ivy, Maple Street and East Bay Deli all needed paper products. Thankfully, our professional drivers know the roads to by-pass the traffic snarls and we were on our way with an on-time delivery by 4:00pm. Whether its a courier service or large motor delivery, Piedmont Delivery Service finds a way to make it happen. We call it The Piedmont Difference!

All My Best,
